The Money Spirituality Conflict: Pricing my Greek Retreat. Help me Out.

I have been pondering and sitting with the entry fee for my retreat in CRETE in 2026.

I can’t escape this inner friction I’ve always carried for exchanging capital for spirit, for love, for the messianic “I” over a “we.”

The spiritual retreat marketplace is bring me DEEP unrest.

Especially now, where people charge INSANE amounts of money for "sacred retreats" while the systems around us are collapsing. Are you also tired to be sold your power back at premium prices ?!

A thought keeps arriving...

WHO benefits, and who do we want to be of service to , truly?

We must pave new ways and carve new ways.

My soul’s unrest is intense.

And yet it always has felt like trying to remove a thorn with a thorn.

With this blog, it feels like I place a pillar in the sand- to keep in tact MY own ego into my value systems -

I choose to stay in the burn long enough. I dare to stand rooted like an ancient tree amidst the ruins of a system that is outdated and soon to be outnumbered.

This blog aims to burn.

The old ways are burning, Akomolafe writes and has deep resonance in my heart and soul. Just like Bayo, I too advocate that our society’s problems are not meant to be solved.

They are meant to burn us fully awake. To sit around this fire, and the grief on climate change, social injustice, and economic inequalities to say the least, and compost in this VERY fire.

If we stay long enough in the burning, what can be birthed? What new can be weaved that will serve the WHOLE in the future, that will be a gift for my and your children?

A friend stirred this blog who is a SEO and business coach and outright told me I charge too little for who I am and what I bring!

I honour my wisdom and value what I bring. AND I want to remain wholesome to my inner truth.

So

I decided to ask you.

The Questions That Keep Me Awake

What if we stopped pretending that spiritual work exists outside of economic reality? What if instead of hiding behind "energy exchange" and "investment in yourself," we told the truth about what things cost and what we need? What if we asked together:

How do we balance survival and thriving with accessibility? How do we honor the labor without exploiting the need?

For all the Mystic Urban Mothers out there, I see you. Choosing between your own healing and your children's needs is a real fucking game. Watching spiritual teachers preach abundance while you're calculating grocery money!!!

Here's my sensing: my why. My rationale.

My facilitating my first retreat in Crete isn’t a capitalistic pursuit for me. I left the very place, to find me , only to return with a divinely inner belonging after years of healing, and ironically discovering the one who was never broken.

My return to Crete feels like Odysseus returning to his home. I don’t run this retreat because it’s mystical or because it looks good on Instagram.

The land called me back in miraculous and mysterious ways.

I am obsessed about transparency, about community, about figuring out together how to do things differently. I have sat with this discomfort of having to tag one fee to this incredible experience.

My heart longs to be inclusive. To have women who don’t come to seek teachings but are ready to drop any baggage that's stopping them from rippling outwards even MORE! Women who also long for arriving fully in themselves but financially they struggle.

The Threads We're Weaving

This isn't about me running a retreat for you. Or at least only this. This is about us figuring out together what happens when we stop playing the spiritual marketplace game and start weaving something real.
